How far is the film 'The Wild Geese' representative of modern day mercenary action?
I know it is 30 years old but is this still how things work, in a nutshell and with allowances for the development of techonology?

It was accurate in its time frame ,the mercenary community could not contemplate regime change now ,too many U,N, DOGOODERS see Dharfour for example.

Making for the allowances you have mentioned, it’s not a million miles away
ALLEN B | Jun 03, 2007

no, nowadays mercenary companies tend to have respectable offices and call themselves international security contractors or private military companies instead of having gunfights with the local mafia in the upstairs of a casino. Its still a great film though!!

Dont believe all the crap you see in the movies laddy.
Okay so my science class is doing a project. We have 15 different subjects we can pick from and they are all worth a certain amount of points but we have to total to 40 points. I have already done 20 points of work but I need 20 more. I can make up a rap but it has to go to the beat of a real song. Can someone help me please!!! The rap has to be about either Earthquakes, Tectonic plates, or Seismic waves.

Questions about Diet and Exercise Programs?
I’ve decided I’m going to do the "Tyler Durden" diet from Fight Club.

Which is this:

"Breakfast would be: 6 eggs, 6 whites, 7 yellow and 75g of oatmeal with raisins. Occasionally Pitt would replace the eggs with a Protein Shake if his schedule was tight.

Midmorning snack: Tinned Tuna in Wholewheat Pitta Breads

Lunch: 2 x Chicken Breasts, 75-100g Brown Rice or Pasta and green veggies

Mid-afternoon snack [Pre-Workout]: protein bar or Whey Protein Shake and a Banana

Post Workout: Whey Protein Shake and a Banana

Dinner: Grilled fish or chicken, brown rice or pasta, vegetables, and salad.

Evening Snack: Casein Protein Shake Protein shake or Low Fat Cottage Cheese (Slow Release Protein)"

^Now that’s the portions that Brad Pitt had to eat. I wanted to know what they would be for me.
I got all the calculations below from the P90X Nutrition Plan.

My height is 5′6 (don’t know height matters, but it couldn’t hurt to add it)
Weight is 138 lbs
RMR is 1380 calories
Daily activity burn is 276 calories
Energy burn is 2256 Calories

Now I know what my diet is going to be, but I was also thinking, for the exercising part should I do P90X or Arnell Ricafranca’s "How to Be Ripped Like Brad Pitt From Fight Club in 12 Weeks or Less" Program (aka Tyler Durden Workout).

You can see Tyler Durden workout right here: http://www.youtube.com/user/AmazingWorko uts

I know I’m asking a lot, but thanks a LOT to anyone who helps!
Oh and I forgot to add that according to the P90X Nutrition Plan, I am have a "Level 1" metabolism.
With Level 1 Metabolism, it says that your energy amount is between 1800 and 2399 and your nutrition level is 1800 calories a day.

movie about a boy who finds a magical world?? the name?
from about 1996 to 2003, somewhere in there, its not spiderwick or mighty mouse, but in the movie a boy finds this world then finds a talking mouse an i remember the mouse tellin the boys dad his fly is undone an the mouse also yells "here i come to save the day" and the boy is against all these creatures in this enchanted world an some are on his side, its kinda like bridge to terabithia an spiderwick but its not them.

Some of the details sound like Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland, which was made in 1989 where a young boy finds a magical slumberland and he has a talking pet flying squirrel

Plot: Germany in the 1970s: Murderous bomb attacks, the threat of terrorism and the fear of the enemy inside are rocking the very foundations of the yet fragile German democracy. The radicalised children of the Nazi generation lead by Andreas Baader, Ulrike Meinhof and Gudrun Ensslin are fighting a violent war against what they perceive as the new face of fascism: American imperialism supported by the German establishment, many of whom have a Nazi past. Their aim is to create a more human society but by employing inhuman means they not only spread terror and bloodshed, they also lose their own humanity. The man who understands them is also their hunter: the head of the German police force Horst Herold. And while he succeeds in his relentless pursuit of the young terrorists, he knows he’s only dealing with the tip of the iceberg.

Can I sue someone for identity theft even if I'm not the victim?
About a month ago my girlfriend’s sister stole my girlfriend’s ID and credit card, and now my girlfriend found out she is over her credit limit in debt to the bank. Not only did her sister did that, but she stole about 5 thousand dollars via checks from her mom’s account as well. Here is my dilemma, I wish i could do something before my girlfriend ruins her credit, and before she and her mom end up in the street. I had to loan them money to pay for last month’s rent since her mom just lost her job not to long ago and my gf doesn’t make enough to cover it.
I have proof of what she has done, but my gf doesn’t want to sue her since its her sister and she is scared of what the family may think if she ends up in jail, and well her mom won’t do it either.
So can i sue this person for identity theft even if i am not the victim?

I know you want to rush to defend your gf, but you have no legal recourse to recoup losses that you personally didn’t incur. Neither of them are standing up for themselves…and are enabling this person’s criminal activities…relative or not. But, since they’re the only ones who can legally do anything about this, the best thing you can do is to leave them no option by not bailing them out anymore. I know it’s tough…but it’s the only way to get any kind of closure on this situation.

Don't Make Me Come In There! | Feb 05, 2010

no because it does not have your name on any of the
credit cards. the only thing you can do is convince her
to press charges.
mad_1240 | Feb 05, 2010

All I can say is I’m sorry. Morality and ethics should not intertwine by any means. Just on the flip side that your girlfriend experienced. Her sister doesn’t seem to want to intertwine the two. She stole from her own family member. Just as your girlfriend should treat it… someone stole from her. It doesn’t matter that it’s her family member. Surely you can explain the moral and ethical implications of pressing charges to your girl. Due to the fact morality doesn’t exist for the sister stealing her identity.

It’s all to common. Just like John Coffey from the Green Mile says, ‘People kill each other with their love everyday.’ Everybody uses an others goodwill against them in order to benefit at their expense. It’s up to you to explain to your girlfriend the separation between morality and ethics in this situation. Her family will respect her for doing what is right… not what is morally right. Due to the fact this situation is devoid of morality. Her sister saw to that.

Would "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" be suitable to show at a disability awareness event?
I am part of a group on campus that serves to raise disability awareness and provide support for those with disabilities that need extra help. We are trying to put on an appreciation movie night for our volunteers, and want a fun comedy to present that isn’t necessarily about disabilities. Does "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" contain any obvious jokes about homophobia, disabilities, or race?

Implicit references are not a problem. I would only be concerned if it was obvious.

Read my story what do you think?
England was just the type of place I loved. Cold wet rainy, never snow but lots of ice. Huge green fields and forests and country houses. I was saying goodbye to it all. My family, my school, my county. My friends. Moving to Australia had always been my worst nightmare, hot sunny, deadly animals, all we had was the adder and we never saw any of them. If I wanted to stay academic then I had to go. If I just went to some care home then there was no way I would keep up my A* average. Partly because of my dad
